Ferias Carnival

Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, Spain — August 26th, 2017

Every August in Alcalá de Henares, there is a Carnival. This carnival is like most others with food, shows, and fun rides. But in Alcalá de Henares, the festivities are kicked off with the city mayor opening the annual event with a very enthusiastic speech to get the crowd pumped. Then a gigantic water fight breaks out with hundreds if not thousands of people spraying each other with fizzy water. The night ends with an evening parade with giant puppets called Gigantes.
